We love fasting blogs and podcasts!
Not only can you learn all the ins and outs of fasting, and pick up helpful fasting tips, but they can also be so inspiring and motivating.
So we thought it would be great to do a round-up of our favorites. Let’s go!
Dr. Fung
Nephrologist and world-leading expert in Intermittent Fasting, Dr. Jason Fung is one of the best-known names in the fasting world. And the most respected.
When we say he wrote the book on fasting (and then some), we’re not kidding.
Dr. Fung is the author of The Obesity Code and The Complete Guide to Fasting, as well as The Diabetes Code and The Cancer Code.
His blog at the Fasting Method covers topics from diabetes and fasting to recipes and testimonials, and everything in between.
Many of the blog entries are links to his videos, which can be found on his YouTube channel.
If there’s anything you want or need to know about fasting or obesity, Dr. Fung would definitely be the first place we’d point you to.
He is of course super smart and has all the facts, but he’s also really down to earth and easy to understand.
Dr. Fung is great for anyone just starting out in fasting who wants to get a good foundation on what fasting is all about and why it works.
But even if you’ve been at this for a while, you’ll want to keep Dr. Fung tuned in.
Dr. Mindy Pelz
Author of Fast Like a Girl, Dr. Mindy is a “renowned holistic health expert” and her focus is mostly on educating women.
She says that her mission is “to start a women’s health revolution,” and we’re good with that.
Her Resetter Podcast has new episodes every Monday and covers fasting plus lots of other subjects on women’s health.
Dr. Mindy also has a YouTube channel with new content added weekly.
We love Dr. Mindy’s spunky personality, and her mission to empower us ladies.
And guys, you can benefit from Dr. Mindy’s wealth of knowledge, too.
Gin Stephens
Gin is a wife, mother, and retired teacher with her own inspiring story of how Intermittent Fasting changed her life.
She shares her fasting journey in her books Delay, Don’t Deny, and Fast. Feast. Repeat.
Gin’s focus is on Intermittent Fasting, OMAD being her preferred schedule.
We love her because she is so easy to relate to; she’s been there, done that–and wrote the book.
Gin currently hosts the podcast Intermittent Fasting Stories.
She features weekly inspirational stories from real-world Intermittent Fasters.
If you’re looking for inspiration and motivation, this is a podcast you should be listening to.
The Intermittent Fasting Podcast
And speaking of Gin Stephens …
The IF Podcast was previously hosted by Gin, and Melanie Avalon, and is now hosted by Melanie, and her co-host, Cynthia Thurlow.
Melanie is the author of What When Wine: Lose Weight and Feel Great with Paleo-Style Meals, Intermittent Fasting and Wine.
Cynthia is a nurse practitioner and author of the book, Intermittent Fasting Transformation.
Together they host the IF Podcast and where their mission is to demystify the Intermittent Fasting lifestyle.
This podcast has been around for a while, so there’s plenty of content, and new stuff coming regularly.
Lots to sink your teeth into (metaphorically speaking).
Six Miles to Supper
Kayla Cox lost 80 pounds by combining Intermittent Fasting and walking six miles a day.
She is the author of The Laid Back Guide to Intermittent Fasting.
And that’s what we love about Kayla, she really is very laid back in her approach. She even suggests weekly cheat days! Oh my.
She proves that you can achieve your health and weight loss goals and still enjoy the process.
Kayla has a podcast where she shares Intermittent Fasting tips and success stories.
She also has a YouTube channel with Fasting interviews and lots of practical fasting advice.
OMAD Caroline
Okay, she doesn’t have a book and she doesn’t have a podcast (that we know of), but we really wanted to include her YouTube channel in our list.
Because if you go all the way back to her first videos, she shares her journey of losing weight with OMAD (One Meal a Day).
It’s a really great example of the power of OMAD if done consistently.
She shares all the ups and downs, the good days and the bad ones. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you’re interested in OMAD.
Dr. Eric Berg
Unless you’ve been under a rock, you’ve heard of this guy.
Dr. Berg is a chiropractor and health expert.
He teaches about the Keto and Fasting lifestyles, and also many other health subjects.
He has written several books, including The 7 Principles of Fat Burning, and The Healthy Keto Plan.
Just about any question you could think of in regards to metabolic health, Dr. Berg has covered in his podcast and on his YouTube channel.
Who are your favorites?
